Wizytówka

Hi everyone! I'm Nick (Nicu), hailing from the charming city of Șoldănești in Moldova. I'm thrilled to be here and eager to make new friends and connections. Let me take a moment to introduce myself in a bit more detail.

I'm a dedicated sound engineer and sound designer, specializing in mixing and mastering vocals. I've been in this field for over five years now, and my passion for music and technology keeps me going every day. Even when I'm feeling under the weather, you'll often find me working on my projects because it's something that truly captivates me and helps me forget everything else.

In my work, I primarily use Cakewalk by BandLab, along with Audacity and REAPER when the situation calls for it. I love exploring new VSTs and experimenting with different effects to keep my sound fresh and innovative. While I usually prefer to work independently, I'm always open to collaborations and look forward to any opportunities that come my way.

My expertise lies in mixing and mastering vocals, and I've developed a strong skill set in sound designing as well. I enjoy pushing the boundaries of what's possible with sound and constantly seek out new techniques to enhance my work. Although I prefer to focus on my craft rather than highlight specific projects, I'm proud of the quality and creativity I bring to every piece of work I undertake.

Outside of my professional life, I have a diverse range of interests. Music is a big part of my life, and I enjoy delving into AI-related content on YouTube, particularly anything to do with music generators and TTS services like ElevenLabs. I'm fascinated by the rapid advancements in AI and tech, and I'm eagerly awaiting the release of new tools and models like GPT-4o and ElevenLabs' music model.

I'm also passionate about translation work, primarily focusing on software translation from English to Romanian. This hobby allows me to contribute to the accessibility of technology and make a positive impact in my community.

As a blind person, screen readers are an essential part of my daily life. I rely on NVDA because it's open-source, user-friendly, and free. It has all the features I need to effectively use my devices, communicate with friends, and work on my projects. Screen readers enable me to stay connected and productive, allowing me to navigate the digital world with ease.

I was born and raised in Șoldănești, a place that holds a special spot in my heart. Moldova's rich cultural heritage, especially its traditional food, is something I deeply appreciate. The delicious flavors of Moldovan cuisine are a delightful part of my life.

While I haven't participated in any online forums or social media groups related to my interests, I'm always keen to learn and share knowledge within the communities I'm part of. I haven't organized or attended any events related to sound engineering, tech, or AI yet, but I'm open to such experiences in the future.

Looking ahead, I have several goals and aspirations. In the short term, I aim to continue honing my skills and expanding my knowledge in sound engineering and AI. Long-term, I dream of making significant contributions to these fields, perhaps even developing new tools and techniques that can benefit others.

On a more personal note, I'm always open to exploring new experiences and meeting new people. I enjoy spending my weekends and free time indulging in my hobbies, whether it's working on music projects, diving into the latest AI advancements, or simply enjoying a good conversation with friends.

Well...I'm excited to be part of this platform and look forward to connecting with all of you. Whether it's sharing knowledge, collaborating on projects, or just having a friendly chat, I'm here and ready to engage. Feel free to reach out and let's make some great connections!
