I've had much luck with the Panasonics for accessibility. A pet peeve of mine is that none provide the talking feedback equivalent to iPhone, Android and such. For instance, no talking menus, no talking phone directories or previous call lists.

Wife has a Panasonic, an older model with the talking previous call list, but I don't think the directory does.

None exist that I know of. Previously I talked about Panasonic but still, they don't have talking menus. I was able to set my last one up without visual help by looking up codes in the manual. It would be so much easier to put full talking capabilities in them, but no one has this as a priority. Landline phones are probably going to be a thing of the past at some point, so it seems to be too late for any new inovations in this area.

Yeah. Before the whole pandemic thingy, my munisipality were actually considering discontinuing landline services for residences, because almost noone uses them anymore.

hi.
i dont think thats a good idea, but that is only my oppinion.
as landline phones, i have:
a bunch of old ones like the old simens ones, some panasonic thingys and a few gigasets.
as an adition, i have something for my router that makes it possible to phone using apps.
I think, thats enough. lol:

You can use the gigasetsl930 with the spil screenreader. It is a landline with android as os with normal dect suppot and stuff. It is a quite old android, but for contact usage it still works. Also the sl930a variant, which i have too, has a voicemail app on it that is also quite accessible.
