Hey everyone,
So right now I'm in the process of coming out to my friends and family as transgender, not to mention updating all of my accounts to reflect my new name, Haily. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here who is transgender or has experience with transgender people could give me any advice on how I can pass as female without being miss gendered. I'm also hoping to start doing HRT and voice theripy soon once I can see a gender clinic and get an oficial diagnosis, but until then I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how I can start making my voice sound a little more female. It's very, very male sounding right now. In case you haven't herd it, you can find a few voice messages from me in the voice forum.
Thanks in advance,
Haily.
P.S, if any admins happen to be checking this, I'd really appreciate it if my name could be changed to haily_merry. I understand you don't normally do name change requests, but I think this is somewhat of a special case, and making another account would be going against the multiple accounts rule.
I sometimes speak words, and sometimes those words make sense. If this post by some miracle happens to fit the latter category, let me know.

Have you been castrated?

I guess you haven't. Also, I think you went through most of puberty vocal change, so it's too late.

Na. Changing everything physically takes years. I'm still hoping to do it at some point, but I'd rather do hormones first. Regarding the vocal change, I have herd of people in their 20s who have managed to make their voices sound a lot more female so I know it's possible. I did some looking around on youtube earlier and found some quite useful videos on the process, but I'm still hoping to see a theripist at some point just to make sure I'm doing things right and I won't end up damaging my voice.

Would you like to actually add anything meaningful to this discussion, or just say what the hell?

Nobody has to to add anything. Its not a specific locked down discussion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and personally, I agree with bomberman here.

If we suddenly start expressing our opinions, then I am a far right winger and do not necessarily support the trans gender agenda XD
But also, this is a topic where a polite question was offered in terms of advice, and just saying what the hell, and almost criticizing the hmm, guy, girl, for who they want to be and in no shape or form giving advice when it is asked for is kind of ridiculous, if you ask me.

I know what you mean. I know it's sometimes extremely dificult to admit to our own family about something that we have been hiding. The big question is are your parants strick? Or are they verry understanding.
But at the same time some parants need to realize that as adults, we can make our own life dissisions. And a lot of parants will lash out at anything they think is not right about their sons or daughters.
A lot of people think I make a really good social worker because I am verry calm, I listen to people carefully, but most of all though, I care about everyone no matter what they go through in life. And if you want to, you can call me on Elten and we can talk more about this privatly if you so wish.
All of you are amazing. Never forget it!

lol charley left the forum because he was probably offended because his name wasn't changed, so you won't find him here anymore. but I kind of agree with bomberman on this one.
When you're stuck, just try harder.

Well if Charley did for a fact leave the forum because of getting offended, then as a user and especially a person, I will admit that I find it rather silly and even amusing, to some extend, because that's not just something you do, but fair enough :D

I think it strange, that anyone should find it amusing that the original poster left the forum. As for the whole genda thing, people are different, and it's up to that person what that person decides what to do. It happends to blind people as much as sighted people.

That's exactly right. Nothings wrong with making disisions such as this. The thing that is wrong is when the parant makes a big fust over their son or dauter coming out as transgender. They act like it's the end of the world, and that their child will go through a hard process. Sure, it may come out as a huge shock to most parants, but most parants learn to except life to it's fullest.
All of you are amazing. Never forget it!

Well, they are also entitled to their opinion though, aren't they?
If you give birth to a biological boy, and they out of the blue decide that they wanna be a different gender, just imagine what a psychological impact that must have on a parent.

Yes. Of corse they are. But they shouldn't try to stop their son or dauter from becoming transgender. Now if they were children, meaning young then that's a different story.
I'm just trying to help out here.

The thing is, the poster of this thread isn't known for their honesty and fairness, so don't be surprised to hear negative stuff about him.

What? You mean to say that's it's possible that he is lying? Come now. Really! Why would someone lie about something that serious.
