Wątek: Linux: Howto forwart output to serial port?

Hi,

under DOS and Windows i can forward a output to a serial port. For example if i type "dir > com1" i can give the output, in this case it is a info about my folders and files in the current directory, to a device wich is connected to com1.
Is there a way howto do this under linux?

I don't know how serial devices are named under linux, but It is nearly the same procedure, e. g. "ls -a > /dev/com1".
