No. Elten not supporting Jaws and currently author don't want add it. Jaws using sapi that's why it does not make sense. It will not be more responsive.

That's stupid because huge part of users who don't want to use NVDA is excluded. Mine Jaws is sleeping when Elten is active, Irecommend you the Same Dennis

Well I think that the majority who are using Elten are NVDA users. Besides, you can also put NVDA to sleep when using Elten. All you have to do, as soon as you have started Elten is press the NVDA plus Shift plus S and NVDA will say, "Sleep Mode On." I use this all the time when using Elten; and as soon as you close Elten, NVDA sleep mode turns off automatically.

NVDA works fine here with Elten running. I set my speech to screen reader and have no need to put NVDA to sleep. JAWS users, carry on.

As I am writing this forum post, the synthesizer voice says the letters twice as I am typing. Therefore, I find it better to put NVDA to sleep.

My wife's computer does that but I don't have typing echo on either Elten or NVDA, so it depends on your settings.

Typing my letters also does the same thing. It doesn't bother me, I've gotten used to it.

Well I've got the Elten-Addon for NVDA installed, which puts NVDA to sleep automatically when Elten starts, so I don't have to press that keystroke.

Yes! I found the place to put the 6000th post in this community! Anyway, the addon is available in the source code, but to make lives easier, I can put it into my shared files if you like.
Edit, sorry, it's the 6000th post out of all forums I follow, which isn't just this community.

I can use elten perfectly with NVDA without the need to put any addons. But I would like it if It could work with jaws, since it's my default screen reader.

It appears that the file sharing feature is no longer supported. Could anyone upload the add-on here? Also, is it Python3-compatible?

In elten 2.4, there's a different addon, which also introduces braille support and text scrolling. Also, you can use your say all command to read edit boxes in Elten. Sleep mode doesn't seem to be necessary. I think, to avoid conflicts with this new addon, you'd better not use it. Also, when I compare it to the one in 2.4, it's quite useless.
