Wątek: Would you try a Mac computer? Why or why not?

I have soled some of my electronics and now have gained $900 by doing so. Mac OS has allways interested me, for its interesting interface, to garage band, its ability to code iphone apps, and the interesting ways of running Linux on m1 m2 or m3. I don't want to end up buying a mac and find out it has become an booring expensive paper weight though. Would you pick up a Mac? Or do something different.

Why not get a used one for cheap just to see if you like the OS or not?
All that I survey, I could easily destroy. From time to time, it is important to remind these small creatures of the true extent of my power.

I might, I just would like to try one of the M series, and the base M series comes with only 256 gigs so I could not sink my drop box folder with things to it. Maybie an M2 512 or something might be a good idea.

It depends for what you use it for really. It's a great OS really, but for anything other than serious work, not sure. Even word is good on windows and gaming is not something you're used to do on a mac either, even though nvgt will bring a big change in this surely. I more than once considered switching if it wouldn't be for the few things you could do with a mac. Other than that the system or pc is quite powerful, the built in mic and speakers are good, etc etc. So again it depends a lot on type of use

I already tryed mac os and I don't really like it. the voice over bugs make it too hard to handle and nun of them would get fixed

I have a pritty old intel macbook running monterey and honestly, it isn't all that bad. Sure, voiceover does handle things a bit weirdly, but I'm still able to use it just fine. Sucks about gaming though, there aren't really as many audio or accessible video games compiled for macos but for everything else it isn't bad.
Can someone tell me what the experience is with voiceover and google docs?
Abortion is unjustifiable. It stands on no ground morally. If it is always wrong to kill an innocent, defenseless human being, then abortion is immoral in all circumstances because that's exactly what it does. This framework dismisses all objections minus the one where the mother's life is in serious danger continuing the pregnancy. And even then, it's not moral it's a necessary evil.

I ended up getting a base mac book air m2. I quite like it, wouldn't use it all day long, but its a nice machine, I am trying the Mac OS beta, and the asahi project. I am glad I did it.
