Hi, I installed Win10 on VMWare Workstation 17. NVDA is installed, the only problem is that my braille display Mantis Q40 doesn't connect. I know that I have to enable it in the removable devices section of VMWare, but it doesn't show up.

Certain USB devices like keyboards aren't supported in VMWare.

They shouldn't abstract this from you though. Virt manager lets you redirect basically anything that shows up as a USB device to the kernel, same with virtual box.

Sorry to tell you this: I tried VirtualBox but I don't know, NVDA doesn't read anything. The only thing I can see is "list of virtual machines" but no VMs show up. When I create a new one I can't select the ISO, so there are only problems with this. And my braille display shows for what weird reason not as a USB drive, but as a system folder.

Can VirtManager run under Windows? Also, VirtualBox is usable, it just takes a bit of time and patience. Object Navigation will help you a lot.

Virt Manager can't, but there is a qemu port for windows.
