Usually if I send someone a message and if he or she didn't respond back to me for a day or two, I will just send a secondary follow up message. If that doesn't work, I will just move on.

usually if they're online a lot, i wait like a week or 2 and then i follow up with hello? Did you see my previous message? Or something like that, and if they don't respond to that a week or so later I follow up with testing testing 123 123 or somthing along those lines.
