I have a program called zluek which works like a remote control, in which I can even hear what is happening on my PC whether it has a microphone connected, or if it is with the system's stereo mix. You are right not to publish the other version karmien, and given all this I recommend that if you have it published on a website, you also publish a program to counteract the effects of the previous one.
