First of all, excuse my english. I'm not a native speaker, my motherlanguage is russian and so mistakes can happen.

So. Very often I hear such phrases like "In american language..." or "our american alphabet..."
And every time I hear this my the biggest question is why do you call this thing american if this thing is english or even latin?
Well, I understand that english language is used in USA, and USA is a big country which have its own history.
But do not forget that english language is also a native language for british people at least.
Also do not forget that american people actually come from other continent and brought english language with them.
And also do not forget that british people themselves received this english language and after all the alphabet from irish people who got this thing from latin people with latin language.
Also english language received lots of words from french, german and other folks.
And so nowadays the great and beautiful english language just looks like a messy heap of contradicting rules, tonns of exclusions, stolen words and unpredictable pronunciation for everything.
And so how american people can call this language their own, american, if this is actually a crazy mix of latin, french, german and even some slavic languages which is considered native for millions of people who do not live in USA?

Also it is very strange to watch some youtube videos where americans try to learn russian or other slavic languages and with very serious face tell us that russians stolen some letters from american alphabet.
Sorry, but these just makes me extra mad.

I hear the terms American English and British English more often than the original poster says. American English has different spelling of some words than does British English. Color versus colour for one example.

To be fair, most languages become influenced with English as well, to the point where some Polish people include whole phrases like I mean, imagine and instead of using appropriate words for patterns, being mad, etc, they would say they are triggered and all that bullshit, which I am also guilty of sometimes and I hate it :D

I have never seen any of what the OP described by Americans. At all. If anything, foreigners are more likely to do it than natives. For example, I live in Trinidad. People usually assume because I speak English natively I'm American. And if they do find out I'm from here they usually ask oh is English your second language? Or what is your native tongue? For example, when Americans go to a European country they'll ask Do you speak English? Or a xenophobic American would be more likely to shout "Speak English you ILLEEEEEEGAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!" At the Pakistani Oober driver.
TL:DR, I'm not sure what the OP is talking about.

That channel is obviously satire though. Not a good example. You'll also note in a video he made he called it coloniser language and Liberian. Representing the Brits and Liberia. In the video he made about German he calls it... West Polish. And I'm sure nobody in Germany would call their language West Polish

On the other hand he seems to be extremely serious and he causes more harm than fun on youtube, but it's only my honest opinion. Anyone who's not well educated will fall for it, and let's be honest, a lot of people in the US can't be proud of their education level.

IDK. I think you're making it into something bigger than it is. There is a level of seriousness to what he's saying but it's abundantly clear he's being a troll. Americans aren't so ignorant as to believe that their language is called American. That's an insane reach.

Most Youtube content is pure entertainment, no matter how serious it looks. It's like watching TV, you can't think that it is reality, although many people do :)

Then I simply wouldn't be able to live in Poland, because this new fashion bothers me like hell and after a while I'd just correct people. Come on, don't kill your mother tongue.
In Hungary we haven't gone that wild yet but something like that exists here as well, and if the person is important to me enough, I try to gently tell them nothing could bother more than this.
But again, here it's not that extreme yet; a few words here and there, but overall hungarian isn't suffering from this yet.

Fortunately your language is more clear from such foreign words.
In russian we had a moderate level of this, but few years ago someone in government offered to replace all not russian words with russian analogs. This caused trouble in IT, medicine and so on.
But nowadays i don't know why but it is considered so cool and awesome to use lots of english words.
We even make jokes about that if you are talking with a manager, HR man or with a designer you will not understand their russian because only prepositions and pronouns will be russian. All other words will be with some english stem and russian case endings.

Yeah, honestly. In corpos words like research, briefing and lunch are pretty much substitutes of original language terms, which could be used instead.
