Hello there!
Subject tells everything but I will explain a bit more.

A few years ago, I think in 2012 or 2013 me with my friends played a browser strategy game called Founders Online.
I;m not sure that it was available in english or other languages and so you maybe do not know it.
But it was a browser game about space strategy.
You had a planet on which you had your citizens with their government, style of life, etc.
Also you had your local currency and you could build some stuff, research technologies and of course construct space ships and make your fleet.
After that you could send your ships to other planets and asteroids, explore and research them, mine resources and transport them back to your planet.
You also could find and colonize new planets and develop them too.
And also you could send your ships to battle against other players, alliances and alliens of different forms.
This game had a very large 3D map with thousands of stars and starsystems.
And despite the fact that it was a browser game it had an adequate physics with fuel consumption, travel times depending on your engines and researched technologies, etc.

This game dead in 2014 or so because the main owner considered it too useless for earning real money for himself and their team.
And since then I am in search of something similar.

- cosmic rage: I don'T know if you know cosmic rage, but it is a mud in which you can have a lot of fun. I managed it to finish trash collecting and volcano harvesting in my first week and had with rank 40 already a starship. with rank 60 I had my sekond ship which I have still. with I think rank 120, maximal 140 I build warp engines in my ship and it made very much more fun. I am right now rank 157 and though the activity I have to do right now is kinda annoying, I do it because I'm looking forward to a factory with rank 200, a punch of new space ships with 250, and a new activity with, I think 300? in the game are a lot of nice people and they have also humor. :P
the game is playable with vip mud, though I heard there is a mush client soundpack but which is bad as I heard. at least I like the vip more though I didn't tryed mush so yeah.

Of course I know Cosmic Rage.
But this is not I want. I need a kind of strategy game where you do not play a role of a single pilot or a citizen but you manage your planet.

Aurora is more like a sandbox. If you are writing a novel or a single story, the game is good for setting up your world, seeing the way your imagined planet looks like. That's why I'd say it's more like a game based on your imagination and not on your skills, as you can set literally everything as you'd like.
