It can't learn you how to host a server.
With servers written on BGT only for Windows it's not realistic.
Why? Because your task is only run server exe file.
If you want learn, please instal Linux and try host for example Icecast or shoutcast.

COme on, Icecast or shoudcast is not hard to host.
Try installing Arch or gentoo for a real challenge.

HM. IC or SC is good for the start, it show works of servers and have a simple confing files.

go look it up, go learn simple terminal commands like cd, sudo, and the package install command. for distros like ubuntu and debian it's a simple sudo apt install packagename, but with others it's different

sudo apt-get install apache2 and get your own web server up and running. I do server administrtative stuff on a day to day bassist.

more advanced commands may include dpkg, for example to install wine you first need to activate dpkg --add-architecture i386, then update the package list, then for me on debien9, the following worked to get wine for windows programs. sudo apt install wine32 wine winetricks wine64-preloader and boom, then do wine cfg, and finally, to start your windows stuff up on linux, wine start /Unix "linuxpath"

99 percent of gameserwers going down after few days because persons which hosting it changing decisions wery fast :D.

this was not my game, this was just a version of sbp with custom servers wich I tryed to hst.
This was very old and its not really worth playing it.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.
