Dear users,
As announced, there will be a vote for the future administrator of the English Elten Community. I would ask interested users to submit their candidacies in this thread by November 4. In your application, introduce yourself, talk about your vision, and just convince users to vote on you somehow. Please do not post any questions, off-topic or discussions in this thread. This is just a place to submit candidacies. If you have any questions for candidates, I encourage you to create a separate thread.
Applications are only to the position of administrator of the English Elten community, not moderators. It is up to the future administrator to select a team of moderators based on the conditions set up by him or her.

Voting will take place from November 5 to November 12, and the winner will receive the function of administrator.
I will present specific conditions regarding participation in the vote later, I try to make it fair, without the participation of multi-accounts, so there will probably be a criterion of minimal time on Elten or count of written posts on the forum, I will think about it later.

At the moment, I do not foresee any limits on submissions, although it will be nice if the administrator, for purely legal reasons, is over 18 years old. It will also be good if it is a person who has been present on Elten for some time, and not someone who appeared here yesterday - in-depth knowledge of the community helps in making responsible decisions.
Either way, the users will have a say in this matter.

Hi elten community. It's karmien. Since 2017, i have been a part of elten. I translated it into my home language, german, and shaped the german community by promoting elten on a lot of occasions. Since 2018, i am also an active member of the english elten community. I am 18 years old and am currently training to become an it specialist in marburg, germany.

Since 2018, i have moderated and administered everything from little whatsapp groups to trending gameservers. My goal is always to create a peaceful environment for everyone. I am also doing my best at beeing fair about my decisions, and to be fully transparent about these. Let's make this forum a place where people like to go, a place with as less drama as possible, a place where everyones welcome no matter who they are, and a place where admins and mods are also just users, just users with a bit more previleges.

Hello!

I'm ArcticMoon, but in general the community knows me as Nikolett, or Niki, because that's my real name.
I am a 21 year old Hungarian university student, currently studying Russian and Polish. Because of this, I have a very strong bond with Slavic languages. I am a frequent reader of the Polish community and I am aware of almost everything that is happening there. I have participated very few times in concrete conversations, because I consider my vocabulary insufficient to be able to express myself well.
I have been a member of the Elten community since 2018. I have moderated the English community for years to the best of my ability, and I have found that the users have appreciated it, and there have never been any particular problems, with one or two glaring exceptions.
Basically, I'm very communicative, and during my time as a moderator, users have been able to contact me for help at any time, at any moment. I have helped to remove several troublesome, spamming users from the community, and have acted in accordance with my rank to maintain peace in the community.
I am usually available every day, but when I am not active for a longer period of time, I usually inform the community weeks in advance and notify the relevant moderators and administrators. I never disappear without a word.
I am on friendly terms with the main Polish community, and I am ready to integrate things that already work well there.
My aim is to bring the English community together a bit. I would like to see order and peace in the forum again. I want people to be able to count on someone again, to trust someone who can co-ordinate the forum. My goal remains to help the project develop, to promote it in different communities, and to finally finish the long-planned Hungarian translation.

Hello,
As most of you know, my name is Marc. A lot about me is found by checking my visiting card. But in short, I'm a 17 year old guy living in a little town in southern norway. I'm usually very active on elten, and try my best to mod my groups to the best of ways. However, real life is really important to me, so I enjoy a lot of time outside of my home if I can. Thus I've been drawn more and more away from drama. I used to be someone that even though he never participated, I was greatly entertained by it. But this changed over the last cupple of years. Especially in this big comunity, it was tiring to see all that has been going on, from bitchy comments to respectless behavior and senseless offtopic discussions, all leading into nowhere.
My plan is to make this group into a sorded out comunity, thinking about proper rules, and working together in a team, since I don't think I'm capable of all the big decisions that lay ahead only by myself. I am as well appreciating feedback, even the most critical one. It can help this group become into a better one, so if I'm being voted for, I incurrage everyone of you to come with your suggestions right to me and to not hezitate!
Sometimes we all have moments when we need a break and are busy, and I have that sometimes too of course. This is why teamwork is important to me. For this big comunity especially I'd like to select a team of users who know what they're doing and arn't quickly drawn into drama, or even being involved themself. Being calm is the most useful thing sometimes and this is where many, in my point of view, failed. Another thing I'd like you to notice is, that when I select my team, I'm strongly against favoritism. This means I won't select any of my friends unless I have a good reason to, rather being more neutral. I'm looking forward to a hopefully, hopefully better future of elten and this program.

Not trying to start a world war III, however the previous post and more specifically the user who posted it has fuck Israel in his describtion, so I wouldn't even take his candidacy into account.
Not that I am pro or against Israel, because I don't care about this war and it's nothing to do with me, still the spelling mistakes in the post, as well as the young-blooded, idealistic views with controversial takes being so openly glorified by them, I'm not sure if this is where our community should be going. Just somethink to think about, nothing personal :D

Can you please explane your point to me? Okay, he understands english and may be able to write it a little bit, but we know that its not that good to take a rank in an english group and manage it. If I am wrong there must been a big change since january 2023. Then I apologice. Well, since I don't think many of the people here will vote him, what is just a personal thought I'll avoid any discussions about this cuz they lead into nothing. Lets wait until the 12.th. I allready have a feeling how this will end, but we'll see and then the real fun will start...
