you can use the book transfer software found at http://aph.org/products/book-port-plus.
There is no easy way to let someone down. my advice, just find a way to work things out, and maybe it'll all turn out for the good.

I have the program, but I want to know if the podcast URL has to be from a spasific podcast provider.

you have to use something like feed flipper, (google it), or get feeds directly from sights, which doesn't really happen anymore. the URL has to end with feed.rss or something like that.
There is no easy way to let someone down. my advice, just find a way to work things out, and maybe it'll all turn out for the good.
