Hello. How can I set it in Notepad so that I don't use ctrl tab to switch between the files opened in Notepad, but instead open the files in a separate window?

You can configure notepad to open files in a new window. Press the Alt key, then tab for the settings button. However this won't affect the CTRL+Tab behaviour, but will bring back the old method using Alt+Tab.
