So I recently got myself the p125 from yamaha, and now the cables to connect it to my iPhone. As I found out though, it's a bit of a pain navigating smart pianist, the app you can use to make some things, easier? Lol either way I want to record recordings and save them, I heard you can export them into dropbox. But I hardly find those buttons or it's just a lot of untitled image things, and somehow I got it to record with screen recognicion, but I was sitting there for 5 minutes trying to find out how to stop it and I don't even know how I did this in the end. And exporting this, of course I didn't find a button for that. This really is a shame. But if anyone of you uses this app and knows some workarounds or fixes, please tell me here, would really help

Doesn't the P-125 have a built-in recorder? The P-115 does. It sounds to me like that app isn't very compatible with Voiceover.

Yeah it really is a pain. The p125 can record itself but only when you record it via app you will be able to view it

You could probably connect a USB cord and use Music Soft to transfer it to a computer. Music Soft is available on Yamaha's website free of charge.

It's actually called Musicsoft Downloader but you get the point I reckon.

Nah, just the right plugs on each of the cord. The computer has the MIDI driver already, or would get it when you hooked the two devices together.

I mean doesn't that mean that I won't do any good with my iPhone without this app. You only talk about the comp, so I need a cable for that and maybe I said it, but I'm a cable nooooob. Like a big cable noob.

The worst is google is overrated. Super not helpful. Especially cuz I can't even change it saving as wav file. It's not even the only thing. I mean then I'd need a sighted person to learn me the bs buttons, ok. But saving as wav? No way. It's, of course, possible. For sighted ideots! Yamaha is horible at software like this and I can't work well with midi

Or no, forget the 3 posts, I can indeed connect it. But how to use this thing then. And don't I need certain drivers and stuff

Like I said, when it's connected, Windows will obtain the driver.

I don't think that piano has the capability of doing anything but .mid files, but of course you'll have to read the manual to see if that's the case.

I don't have the iPhone app for my P-115 so I can't say anything pro or con about it. I don't have the proper cable either, just use USB from the piano to the computer.

Well nah, that would be very unfortunate, I mean it's not an old model. And well I don't see the piano anywhere other than in device manager. I even installed that steinberg driver but wellp.

Programs like audacity are supposed to be able to make it show up as an input device but that doesn't work anywhere. Some got it even as drive so they were using it's speakers for output, but nothing here.

Newer models have the capability of playing stuff through their speakers. The P-115 doesn't have that capability.

I don't know anything about Audacity and MIDI. I use QWS, Quick Windows Sequencer, along with Virtual MIDI Synth and I use that sound font I sent ya. Still, my MIDI knowledge lacks a bunch.

Hmm, well either way I need something that represents the exact audio how I recorded it

Ugh! I'm very disappointed right now. Reason is I found out my keyboard is a yamaha p125 a. The difference between the p125 and p125 a is that the p125 a only has midi access and is not discontinued like the normal p125, however, that one comes with an audio interface. So that means I can only record dum old midi!
My problems with this are:
1. I have no idea how to do so.
2. If I'd have the midi file it'd just sound horible and not like the actual instrument sounds I've used on that instrument, and I've got no idea how to make that sound original.
3. I ain't gotten any good midi software.

It will sound reasonably like your instrument if you use the sound font I sent you along with Virtual MIDI Synth and QWS. You'll have to tell QWS to use Virtual MIDI Synth and also assign QWS to treat it as a GM instrument. Once this is all set up you'll be able to play all MIDI files with reasonable quality.

If you need help with this I'll show you either through direct messages here or I could remote in and do it that way as well.
