Luisa: Yes you're right, that's wht I meant by saying that Bitcoin is a waste of energy. I simply can't understand it: The development in other cryptocurrencies shows that there are more efficient concepts, like proof of stake, that save 99.5% energy. And still, the Bitcoin is the most popular crypto. Can anyone explain this?

Meh. Cryptocurrencies aren't stable enough from what I've heard to really make them worthwhile. Interesting concept but...

Btc started as a cool concept, and I am all for de-centralised paying. But with all those exchanges and websites that need your info, the spirit of cripto is dead.
And that, is why you shouldn't do this.

Hello,

I don't know of good exchanges that don't require KYC. You could look for p2p agents that you can transfer your money to them, and they will send you crypto. You'd have to do thorough search for someone that is trustworthy, and preferably that is based on your country, so you'd transfer money using bank.

Now for storing your coins, Blue Wallet for IOS is awesome and pretty acessible. Downsides: It can only store Bitcoin, and it doesn't show the stored value in USD.

If you want to store other kinds of coins, or to know how many dollars you have put in, Trust Wallet is best. It is available on IOS and Android.

For Desktop, you could use Metamask, however I don't know if it supports Bitcoin.

Also keep in mind that a walet's security is mainly based on how yourself will secure your seed phrase, don't click on phishing links, avoid using cracked software, such things.
