hi
I recently spun up an ms dos vm using a tutorial online and vocr.
It was really easy to do, and now that it is running, is the only way to use it accessablly to use vocr?
I downloaded 2 free dos screen readers, just as i realized that I will probably need a hardware speach synth.
I am verry new to dos, and I have used the mac terminal in the passed, but I wanted to try dos, because of a youtuber danoct1 who creates videos of him running retro malware on old systems like win3.11 or dos.
Acording to the tutorial, it told me to emulate a creative soundblaster 16 sound card.
Please let me know if there's anything to hopefully get speach without a hardware synth, or a vertual hardware synth, if that's a thing, but yeah.
Thanks for reading.

You may try to find a copy of Talking Blaster. Used it back in the 90s. Dunno if there are still copies around. Good luck.

TDB doesn't run on MacOS. Even if it did, you'd need some way of piping ASAP's output through to the virtual environment. This is easy on Windows with COM0COM and the virtual Braille 'n Speak for NVDA.
