Well they told us long ago that 3rd party stuff would arrive sooner or later making this tts thing possible. Well who knows, maybe one day we'll have acapela? But it'd be extremely interesting if that eSpeak could have mbrola included as well. Just cuz why not

Hello everyone! Does anyone else have issues when trying to write using eSpeak? Before and after each single letter, it says something like backslash tn spell equals "insert letter here" backslash tn normal. I spellt out the punctuations for better understanding. It's really annoing and frustrating at the same time, mostly because a lot of people don't seem to have this problem.

you know what? this is a voice tag that was misspelled. developer wrote it wrong and espeak starts to pronounce it.

Ah, that sounds fair. In fact I've talked to the developer yesterday through email, and he said he's still investigating the error. Since I don't know programming at all, I am unable to help him, I can only test and tell my experience afterwards.

acapella for macOS exists, so without a doubt it will be on IOS.
i'm sick of being underestimated. you bring up a point against me, bring the evidence or it's completely bullshit. also fuck pedofilia.

Maybe, but the thing is I think acapela quit its mac OS support

i tend to do research on these speech synthesysers, and acapela quit ssupporting mac OS back in 2016, as for most operating systems, they quit supporting them last year and offer no way to by the voices.

Does anyone know anything about Google TTS?

Typed "iOS TTS beta test" in the Google search box to see if there were any other similar public invitations to test other TTS engines, and found something called Remarkable Text To Speech.
Don't know what that is, and it may even be totally irrelevant.

Did you test it, or does it have some voices of any known tts? Just want to ask before I'd try getting the link on to my phone. Edit, I also don't really think that google tts is coming to iOS, I mean would be weird if it would. But I'd imagine rh voice and stuff like that

If the following is the same as the previous Remarkable Text To Speech then it's not a speech synthesizer but an app that lets you pick a voice and convert whatever you type into speech.

do you know of any other speach synths for iPhone?
I am tired of eloquence and espeak and the vocalizer voices suck in ios 16 and the siri voices lag.
If there are any others, please let me know.

You can always use macintalk...
Keep in mind we had so much less and tbh eloquence is enough for me, we have quite good variaty now.
