so I have an apple watch series 1, hopefully I'll get the 7, anyways, I am wondering, when I set up the watch do I have to log into the apple account as its being set up or will it find the account?

No. Your phone will set up your watch to use your apple id if you are signed in.

Also, i'm kinda curious as to wether or not you are going to be able to set it up, since the original apple watch is discontinued. Please let me know what happens.

umm. the series 1? idk if that will allow you to configure it with your appleID but idk. just get the series8, you'll definatly be able to setup the device.

yeah, my mom is thinking of getting me the apple watch series 7, or 8, or possibly the SE, IDK, but I can't deal with having a watch that has a shitty battery

If your mom can handle the expences, get the Apple Watch Ultra. It was originally made for athletes and people who partissipate in extreme activities, but there's virtually no chance of a shitty battery.

Yes. It was discontinued along with series 2. Apple still supports them in terms of security updates and apple ID.

You can still use any apple watch with the latest version, but I wouldn't get anything older than a series 3 because they are laggy. They also removed some of the features, so you can't change any taptic time things with the older watches anymore as it was a part of voiceover. But since they are using the same settings and just removing some for the older watches, you can't change settings for that anymore. I know from my brief time with my original watch that I got about five years ago until I upgraded to the SE.
Anything can work. Just decide how much, or what you would like to subject for said thing to work.
