Okay, I have searched for various alternatives, including ringtone and music distribution platforms, for which you have to make each track's cover art and most likely need a sighted person's help. I have also looked for other websites like Audio Jungle where you can't just start selling your works right away. Don't really know why but you have to meet certain criteria and be invited. So I found artlist.io yesterday and don't know much about it. I have also looked for opportunities to offer my tracks for use in broadcast and movies but to no avail. So what do you recommend?

Every serious music selling website requires yoto providethem with an artwork. If they don't, its either a fake or nobody's going to buy your work anyway.

Try looking into publishing your ringtones on Itunes.
Also, Please be aware that ringtones are notoriously difficult to
commercialize because in most cases there is basically no DRM, and most people arn't going to shell out scignificant amounts of moneys so that they can download easily duplicatable files. Prepare yourself for large amounts of being ignored. Otherwize, good luck.

I already said I have looked into publishing my ringtones on iTunes.

You said you looked at ringtone and music distribution platforms. That doesn't implissitly mean iTunes.

Yes, it explicitly, as you said, not implicitly, means that I should already know that iTunes is one of many stores that those ringtone distributors let you sell your ringtones on. It is already after trying to learn whether I could just publish my ringtones on iTunes that I learned those websites existed. And I also do know I can't directly sell my ringtones on there because I do know the requirements. Also, whether you publish your ringtones there yourself or through a distributor doesn't make any diference as to whether you need to prepare a cover art for each of your ringtones and the very problem is already this.

No. You didn't mention iTunes by word. That means you would have to imply that you had looked at iTunes but what ever.

In that case, I would wajer your only remaining option is to sell them on a website of your own. I'm asooming you considered that and noped out of the general idea though.

A website of my own? No, I don't want to consider paying server and/or domain fees and then work so hard to promote my tracks to be known by a few, likely with no official agreement or document ensuring that noone resells them as their own by making some fancy artwork and advertising the track.

With your serious paranoya, you aren't going to get anywhere. First you need to be known, and then you can go from there. You won't be able to prevent people to resell your audio unless it's DRM protected or you put osmething into t that only you are able to hear.

Yeah, right, my serious paranoya. Thanks, dear psychologist, for all your extremely helpful and greatly and gratefully appreciated constructive critique and advice generously offered by you here and elsewhere, but not every country has such regulations meant to protect intellectual property rights as those in the EU and not many really care about them when it comes to gaining financial benefits from such things. And how will I be known? I believe it is easier said than done but would greatly appreciate your advice on that.

Let me add that I am confident you would call that a personal attack if I told you or anyone you/he/she wouldn't get anywhere with that serious paranoya. I even think you will now call me a spammer as this is my second post in a row.

I mean, you keep telling us that we might steal your works if you don't make it unusable. You don1t want to publish anything because what if people get their hands on your stuff? People could, but people don't want to, and by the way your steps won't prevent it. A professional sound designer is going to remove all the distortions and crackles of your audio if they want to use it.

Oh wow, attempting to rephrase your insult to cover it up? Okay, let me respond. But before that, I want to remind you of how I explained my reasons for my attitude on the matter earlier and how you allegedly got my points. So those offensive words of yours were unreasonable even from a totally analytical perspective. And now responding to your latest post:
Not only Elten users will have access to my works if I have a website to publish them, right? Also, I often post lossy compressed files here to make it impossible for any professional sound designer to totally recover the damaged audio, so it is not only those effects that I use to lower the quality, but it is still more than possible that people be inspired by the ideas and remake other versions of my tracks and then publish them under their own name. By the way, you have not yet told me how I can be known.

@ Enes: Dude, there are virtually zero ways you can go and DRM protect a ringtone, asside from publishing it on platforms like iTunes. Publishing a ringtone almost anywhere means that the end user are going to get their hands on a file that they can uppload on to their phone or do anything under the sun that they want with. The end user can also, in fact, be a complete douch and go, Hey I just bought a ringtone and it's really cool, want it? All of this is unavoidable.

The reason you are being called paranoid is that you are ,focusing on intellectual property protections in a market where that's not going to be possible, especially if you have looked at all the ways you could theoretically do it and said, no, not for me, anything else?

Okay, she has also claimed elsewhere that I am severely paranoyed, just as she did here even after I had explained my points and she had appeared to have got them earlier. Besides, she never objected to my statement that she would call it a personal attack if I told the same to her or anyone. And you can have a look at the music thread or my blog to find only some recent examples of how she often tries to discredit whatever I post here and then never responds to my posts expressing that.
As for the fact that it appears impossible to totally protect your tracks and ringtones apart from publishing them on iTunes, this should back my points and worries rather than mean that I am paranoyed.

So this is unfair! I don't claim I'm the best composer that the 21st century has ever witnessed but you know, people appear to like my tracks and I also like what I do and I just want to earn some money to purchase better stuff to make better things and then perhaps earn more by selling those. But I can't do any of these merely because every track requires its own well-designed cover art when publishing it on iTunes or any other major store, and I can't prepare those!

I'm sorry that we couldn't help you.

With all this in mind though, have you reconsidered paying someone to prepare the artwork for you? People will probably do it on fiver or something.

No problem at all, you did your best. That's possible but I'd rather ask a friend whom I could rely on to do that. Not only because a friend would ask for less but also because I could communicate more easily with a friend, express what I wanted and understand what (s)he had in mind or came up with.
