What is all of these programs I see? see?
I see youtube and I know what that is, but how does all of this work inside of Eltan?

the youtube thing would allow you to look at videos through elten, although they are instaled ceperately from elten. I've forgotten what the other programmes do.

It'd be useful to put something somewhere in the menu about what each program does. I'm going to guess that a file manager is something like File Explorer. Clango um never used that but I hear its gone now? the others? got no clue man.

File Manager allows you to browse your computer on Elten. Klango archive it's a program where you can see all the posts on the forums. Before Elten we used to have Klango. I never use playlist so I don't know what that is. shooter is a game. Speech output or allows you to grab any document and put this as an audio file using a sappy voice. Thats all I know

Yes, you are right when it comes to file explorer. The klango archive is all the messages on that forum. I agree about having an explination, it would've been useful.

I've learned more from asking questions here then reading the manual. i think it could be written better. I'm not sure I could do such a great job at this...

I agree, the manual could be written better. I'm glad you got it sorted out now. Your questions. When I was new to elten I just did a lot of exploring, and worked things out as I went along.

i had very less to ask. I figured most of the program stuff and forums feeds etc out by myself. Tiny little things you just find out later. But you can't just go in and now? Can you help? No you have to explore the interface as well, by yourself
People are complicated. This keeps getting prooven over and over and goes to a point where it makes no sense anymore.

When I first use this program, or anything, I didn't know how to use it, but after a while, I know how to use it. The manual can help you like I said,also faq

I took a look at the FAQ. A lot is answered there, and its a great start! But it doesn't really talk about any of the programs and what they do, nor how to work them. mention is made of the file manager, and that you can download programs from the tools menu. but its a very generalized answer.

The file manager also allows for converting files into different formats, especially audio files. For File Manager and YouTube to work properly you need to also install the FFMpeg program. The Klango archive is just a database of all the forums that were on Klango. Shooter and that other program aren't very good in my opinion. Speech Outputter sends a text file to your preferred speech synthesizer and makes a file thereof, mp3 or whatever. It is notable that the File Manager will also play MIDI files if you install the sound font you are prompted to download, or if you have a sound font you can copy it to %appdata%, Elten, Extras. If you do that then you'll have to change its name to soundfont.sf2 for Elten to use it.
