That letting Windows 7 and 8.1 product keys update to Windows 10 still works.

Hi guys, thanks for your replies. As for upgrading to windows 10. I'm a bit scared to do it on my own. I don't have any kind of backup system. I haven't tried the run thing yet. Will have a look at that. This problem comes up every time I start elten. Then I have to refigure the settings again.

Upgrading is not difficult at all. When I have more time I could help but not today, as I arrive at home very late. Maybe tomorrow.

Yes, upgrading from Windows 8 to 10 is not difficult! The beauty of it is that you have the Narrator screen reader from Microsoft to guide you through the whole process. To turn on Narrator, press the control and Windows keys together with the enter key. After you have downloaded Windows 10, you can do so as soon as your computer starts to restart.

Yep and it will give you percentatges too. You can turn scan mode on with Insert+Sspace and read the screen so you know exactly what its doing during the upgrade process. If those keys do nothing, try WindowsKey+Control+Enter as it might have rebooted. Scan mode is your friend! :)

Of course, it's not difficult. I know how it is not to feel comfortable with random guys trying to help, I've also been there earlier.

and while you don't know me, I promise I'd never lead you wrong. I let her know the offer stands if she wishes and left it at that.

Hey guys, thanks for your offers of help. I guess I'm not ready yet. And I have a slow internet, so when it comes to bigger stuff it would disconnect or not download properly.

Oo slow internet and Windows upgrades are not good together. and you're very welcome! The most important thing you can do is make sure things are backed up that you care about. Cause even if you never are ready, hardware eventually fails.

Yes, that is true. In the end I'll have to buy myself a new pc.

You won't have to until October 2025, if your hardwhere lasts that long. Windows 10 is supported thru October 2025.
