Wątek: Questions concerning my future, mostly regarding college

I will preface this post by making a couple of notes.
1. This mostly concerns students who are already past Algebra II and are planning on taking the calculus chain of classes. If you are currently or are taking Algebra II come September, feel free to skip over this thread, although you can chime in as well.
2. This post might get quite long, so if you are short on time, just try to answer my questions as best as you can, although I am not forcing you to answer them.
3. Note that I am not trying to make this an essay, I am just wanting some advice as to my future education, mostly with college in 2 years.
That being said, here goes.
I am not that much heavy on math like people in the fields of mathematics are. That being said, the only reason why I have to post this is simply to sort of brainstorm a couple of things, such as college classes and such.
I am going to be taking College Now Precalculus at Sheldon High School in Eugene, Oregon. One trymester is on college algebra, while the second is on college trigonometry. The reason why I am doing this is because the computer science department at Lane Comunity College requires Precalculus education at a minimum in order to enter, which I will probably do my freshman year of college. My ultimate goal, though, is to work for Microsoft corporation in the coming future, quite a big job, I know.
So this leads me to several questions regarding my future and my position in college. Because I am taking precalc A and B, what advice could you people recomend for higher level math beyond Algebra II? I mean, obviously notes are going to be important (I will tuch on that in a second) ], but what else could you recomend? I found college mathematics textbooks based on links recomended on audiogames.net, such as OpenStax, which I know is geared twoards college students. But what websites could you recomend or what PC software could I use for advanced calculations?
Also, notes. High School notetaking is not an issue, but here is the thing. I am not that good of a notetaker, in fact I am thinking about getting someone to do it for me for my first year of college. Would you recomend I do so? It may seem a bit lazy, but yet again, future thoughts.
Also, college in general. My beginning thought is to take 6 years of college, so that I can get the enough experience with math and CS in order to succeed. But here, you guessed it, more advice. How many years should I do? Should I just do more or less? Or the same? Not sure. I get 2 years free at LCC through the Oregon promise grant, so I can just as easily go to a 4 year college for 4 years.
And probably finally, what classes would help me in the study of CS? Yes the calculus classes will help, but what else? Are there other college classes worth taking just for knowledge's sake?
All right, Yes this post is a bit long, but thanks for reading if you made it this far.

Hey there. So, I do have a few things to say. I would say when it comes to taking notes, write down the things that actually matter, not every little detail that the teacher says in class. Now I know that might be obvious, but still wanted to remind you of that. Second, I feel like indipenedence is key to succeeding, that is how I see it. All though having a note taker may be a good idea and less stressful for you in the course, I feel that if you take your own notes, maybe the imformation will be easier to obtain. when my aid used to take notes for me in math in 7th grade, sure it was great and all, but I deffinetly noticed that I did not obtain the info very well. As a matter of fact, it was even more stressful for me to studdy for exams. This year, I am striding to work on my organization and devotion to studying, because I did lack at doing that last year, and it did hit me hard. I hope this advice helps you, I am really not sure how to answer the other questions because i am going in to algebra two this year, but I did want to help a little bit. thank you for reading, and I hope you have a good day.

In adition to what I have last wrote, I know seventh grade is much easier than collige math courses, but wanted to put that in there as an example of what i experienced.

Right, thanks. Yeah I completely understand. Looking at one of the online precalculus textbooks (I do not know what my precalc teacher will be using), College Algebra will be mostly the same, except we are going to learn another, complicated way of solving systems of equations, plus sequences will come back with avengence from algebra 1, which will be an interesting surprise. Might also have to adapt my notes to fit that, coming up with new notation and stuff. As for trig, That is a hole nother ball game. I mean, I did tuch on what trig was tought in Algebra II, but there is going to be more than just graphing trig functions, hence why the trigonometry class is not mixed in with the College Algebra curriculum so that the topics could be sequential. But yeah, thanks for the suggestion.

So, forgot to add this to my first post, but I will say this now. How do I read equations with NVDA using Latex? The source I am using to study for precalculus and higher mathematics uses math ML, which is fine, but what if my teacher uses a PDF with equations written in Latex? Is there an addon for this? Sorry, my future is heavy on my mind right now.

uh, not that I know of, I can find an add on if there is 1 if you'd like me to.

If you could, that would be awesome. Yeah I have been preparing using the OpenStax textbook for Intermediate Algebra which is the college equivalent to algebra 2 in high school, but want to read equations that use latex in case my teacher uses a book or page that uses it. Thanks.

OK so an update. So in college algebra we will be learning how to solve systems of equations using matrices, which I do not know what it is, BTW, and it does seem like a complicated subject to compute by hand. So I looked for software to solve equations, and found microsoft mathematics. Question is though, Is it usable through NVDA? I want conformation before using it. Here is the link. https://microsoft-mathematics.en.softonic.com/. Also there is a page for different solvers, which I will post as well. https://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/20/featured/free-mathematical-equation-solver-software-windows.html. Just confirm that they work, if you can. Thanks.
