Alright, hey guys. how is it going? So, I need a bit of help. I am on a windows laptop, and my mic is broken. So when I am at home, I use an external microphone. But when I am on vacation or somewhere else with my laptop, I would like to use the built in mic. I go to mysys.cpl and change the sound settings so I can make the built in mic the default untill I get home. the thing is, but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. If I could get some help on this, that would be great. thank you so much.

Moderation!
I'm moving this topic to computers and technology, as it belongs there more likely than here.

How is the mic broken? Does it record anythin or does it just sound bad?
Anything can work. Just decide how much, or what you would like to subject for said thing to work.

No no, the mic is not broken. it is just not setting to the defautl propperly or something. I am not sure why.

Can you please try to explain the problem in more detail?
By not setting as default, you mean that there is no audio when you record with this mic, or is something else being recorded?
Does the default recording device keep changing, if so to what recording device?
I'll be glad to help but I need more info :)

yes, I can explain it with further detail. The defautl mic I would like is my real tech audio mic, but when I set it, it doesn't work. It has worked before on team talk where i can set my imput and output, but I would like them to be the default mic. My default now is my yetti sterrio mic, but I would like that changed.

I understand, well, as you mentioned, you should be able to change the default device in the sound control panel from your yeti to your build in realtek mic.
If there is still no sound going through, check the properties of the realtek mic and check if the mic is not globaly muted.
