Wątek: Using eltan with a screen reader?

Is there a way to use eltan with a screne reader?
I was told it could be done in private messages, but do not understand.
If I put jaws in full speech mode, both the self voiceing app and JAWS try to talk at the same time.
I can't spell words with JAWs with eltan running, like in the eltan app itself.
I'd actually prefer to use it with the screne reader rather than using it self voicing if this is at all an option.
Sometimes I need to read things word by word too, and I can't this way.
Sometimes I need to read things in braille on my braille display too and can't do that either.
If I could use eltan with a screne reader then this would be more possible and bettter for me.

You can only use Elten with the NVDA screen reader, hopefully in the future it can work with other screen readers as well.

How would I go about doing this. I do have NVDA installed... and I do have CodeFactory Elaquince set for the default voice of NVDA. Now what?

System Access also works with Elten. I only know this because my older brother has used it.

There's an add-on for NVDA making it more usable with Elten, and you'll be prompted to get this add-on once Elten is started with NVDA loaded.

If you have NVDA installed on your device and it is active, when you start the Elten program, a message from Elten will come up whether you want to install the Elten NVDA support add on. Please allow Elten to do this on your device.

I've just been using it without braille. I'd forget that I couldn't when I needed to spell a word and try to hit insert+5 and oh right, I can't do that. ANd add on that has braille? hell yes! this so is for me!
Fortunetly I have been using elaquence which is the easiest speech for me to understand so that has helped. but not being able to look at spellings of things or go word by word has yeah. at times made it hard. LIke no idea how to spell a username, or going thru a message at time to know what someone said. Or even knowing how to spell eltan.

I wouldn't know this about NVDA, if you hadn't told me. Cause the thing is, NVDA is not my primary screne reader. Jaws is. Fortunetly I have shortcut keys set up to launch both NVDA and JAWS.

NVDA sets control alt n by default to launch it.

The add-on makes such things possible as say all, current line, previous line, etc. It probably does even more than I know. It's definitely a good idea to have the add-on.
