Hi. Recently I have considered switching back to android. It is mainly because my iphone SE 2020 is still a great device but its battery never lasted longer then a day and when i travel even shorter due to networking. How ever my school schedule dramatically changed since i am in 11th grade now and i just cant have it that my phone battery dies in the middle off the day when ever it has to do something a bit more complicated. I don't think a new iphone would serve me good here because i heard from some friends that batteries in newer modells arent necessarely better and also i am unhappy with some handling concepts off the newer moddels, for example the swipe gestures with the emulated homebutton that i would rather use an on screen button or even better a real button to achive or the fact that you don't have a fingerprint scanner and i don't consider face id safe enough for people like me that are completely blind, i don't really like the fact that some random could just hold the phone infront of my face and hve it open. I looked up cheap solutions and found some good modells like some xiaomi phones, another one that caught my eye was the motorola moto g 60s and a one plus device that i don't know the exact name off at this moment. Did you make any accessibility experiences with xiaomi and oneplus phones? I know that motorola is accessible since they mostly use stock android still. Thanks.

xiaomi is kinda good but it's weird sometimes, like when you try to enable homescreen with app drawer you have to switch off the screenreader and select the second item in that list cause they're all in one object for talkback/jeeshuo and you can't do anything about it. But it's reasonable, I just don't like it. Some people may like it, so it all comes to your choise buddy. Android is massively vast, unlike apple

for me motorola is the best you can get if you want a cellphone with high power and good accessibility. I have got a motorola g20, it's really good. The energy is great, I can use it 3 or 4 days withouth charging. off course if you can, try to get a motorola g100 because it's bether, but if you have budget for a cheap cellphone and you want android, I recomend a lot moto g20.
Thank you for reading my post!

Realme, xiaomi, redmi, etc. Most of Chinese companies have good models. Miui for example is good, only default screen is, strange. I prefer nova launcher,

Honestly, get the Iphone 8+. It has a home buttan, and isn't extremely outdated. It has amazing battery life, and you can chuck IOS 16 on that sucker if you wanted.

Rambo, the topic title says "considering switching to android." While I also think iPhone is way better if we are talking about accessibility, he clearly says he wants an android phone.

na, i have bought the iphone se 3rd gen now. Just too deep in apple universe to perform this switch, and the se3 is a good phone.

Yeah, agreed pretty much. I'm too used to apple stuff that I also wouldn't be able to switch this quickly. And honestly if you expect the same level of accessibility from an android phone, you'll be disappointed very much. I mean for example I'd really, really mmiss braille screen imput if you ask me.

yeah plus, the topic is real old.I think everyone who comes here answers and revives old topics but these kinds of topics,
But meh, its not worth to get an iPhone 8 anyway, if plus or not. Don't see the point for plus ones as blind person. Rather an 12/13 mini, SE2 or something but anyways, that is offtopic like mensioned, so.

Allthough I used iOS for around one year and like the accessibility features of it, I couldn't get used to the restrictions of iOS. In fact I use android again and allthough I miss some accessibility features i got used to when I used iOS I prefer to use my phone without them, but with lots of other advantages. And Android's accessibility is more than okay, at least for me.

it really isn't bad at all, i agree. Android can perfectly hook up to iOS. Try android more. Cuz if not, of course you'd say i OS is better but no, i think both systems have their ups and downs

No no, guys. Until you, as a blind individual, are unable to buy an android phone and set it up yourself, ALONE, it's a big no no for me. It can be as accessible as anything if you can't get started by yourself.
