Wątek: does github desktop eat my code and publish it on github right after changing it in notepad?

i have github desktop downloaded on my computer and opened. and i change my code in notepad. will it be synchronizated with github.com right away, or do i have to do it manually?
i thaught maybe to save the file with program code, and tell my friend to clone the repozitory.

You need to commit your changes locally within the app, and then push it to your repo.

You've got your repository open in the app, right? so, just change files, then open the app and look through the document. I'm sure you'll find what you need.
