Microsoft has officially announced that they will roll out Windows 11, starting this fall! There will be a free upgrade for all those having Windows 10.
Windows 11 requires a 64-bit processor, at least 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB disk space, UEFI firmware with secure Boot capability, along with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0.

Well the computer I "just" built does not have secure boot or tpm. I am going to have to bypass it, and that's stupid. I should not have to bypass hardware to install windows 11. The point of windows is to be simple, and this is not making it simpler. This is making it harder.
Anything can work. Just decide how much, or what you would like to subject for said thing to work.

I wonder how one finds out what version of the TPM he or she has.

Type tpm.msc into the run dialog.

I did that and I get a tree view with Overview, status, available options and TPM Manufacture Information. I suppose I shall poke around and see how to access the stuff there. Thanks for the heads-up, Arctic Moon.

Okay, all the things can be read using object navigation in NVDA. I have version 2.0, as the specification version. There's another version number of 3.45.4 or something similar. It looks like I'm in the clear.

Hahaha, ihave a computer with 128GB of RAM, Intel Core I9 10940, RTX 3080 and it seems I wont have WIn 11 because of TPM. I will need to ask someone sightedto go through the BIOS with me.

i assume you don't have 128 gigs of ram and all, but yeah this is so stupid.
When you're stuck, just try harder.

Why would anyone need 128 GB of ram anyway? That's pretty a stupid way to waste money.

Currently 128gb ram is a lot, but after the next 10 years, it will be something as 8gb currently.
I thing that he purchased a computer in order to keep it running stably for few years.

Not really, because in a few years there will be much better processors so the so said 128 GB of ram will worth nothing with an outdated computer.

Here is the pc health check app to find out whether your computer is ready to install Windows 11

Strange, when I ran that health check program, it said installing an update then did nothing else. It didn't give me any status report or any other feedback.

Perhaps close the app, restart the computer and try again.

Same exact result.

@ArcticMoon
If you train Text To Speech Models, work with large Visual Studio sSolutions or with many VST in Reaper you can eat these 128 GB of RAM. And I do thesethings.

And I don't want to use SWAP because it is slow.

To post 17 and 18, you posted your comments in the wrong thread.

No no, it was correct. Look at post 7 through 12 in this thread here. True, it's kinda off topic but you know how those tangents can happen.
