If you want, you can track any channel and you will know if someone joins there, press control l when you're find this channel. It could help you find more people, I hope that 1 day we will have more channels where will be active, now conferences are quite popular, but people call each other, they aren't on public channels.

Well, conferences are being used a lot i think. Its just a lot of private channels, most just know each other and don't really engage in getting to know other people

Back to the original topic, that seriously doesn't encourage people if there are spammers in public conferences. There should be a possibility to ban people only from conferences, but not the forums.
