Here is how I set up my pi. If it's a pi 3, just burn the immage to the card, plug in speakers through the audio jack, a keyboard, and an ethernet cable. I wait for the press control alt space to install screen reader thing to happen. Good to go for that. But for the pi 4, you need to plug in a display to start the pi unless you set the resolution to something that is not audio in raspi-config. But what I do for the pi 4, I plug in speakers, a display, a keyboard and ethernet cable. Wait for the screen reader thing, and then once you set up the pi, change the resolution of the pi. It can then be started to the gui without a display then. If you're using a good OS for the pi, stormux, on pi 3, just plug in a speaker. With stormux on the pi 4, it defaults to the HDMI audio device.
Anything can work. Just decide how much, or what you would like to subject for said thing to work.
