How did he get it to work? Recently, I tried installing Skype 7 on my Mac but it didn't let me sign in.

I won't lie, I miss Skype 7 to death! I'm using the insider preview of Skype 8, and a lot of the issues present in previous versions seem to have been fixed.

IDK, aside from the freezing and crashing at times skype 8 isn't that bad. Its come a long way since its introduction. 8,0 was a bloody mess

Until they add back at least the ability to customise your own sounds and the skype 7 layout, I'm not going to say skype 8 is even remotely close to what skype 7 was.

The ability to change Skype sounds would be great. You could always suggest that they add it. Just go to Skype settings, Help and Feedback and go to Suggest a Feature.

I miss that sigh at shutdown and... well I don't really know what to call the startup sound. What's the opposite of a sigh? Oh well. At least we still have MSN Messenger through Escargot.

I've badgered them time and time again when the feedback thing comes up in skype preview about NVDA not speaking stuff like message sent, new message from contact etc, and it's still not fixed.

The nvda thinworks but not in other windows, I will sugest to microsoft that sounds on startup and shutdown and the ability to change, also I want skype talking grr.

Skype7? O, dark memories. This mait come along harsh but i am soooooooooooo glat that this thing is gone. In it's last months it has only made trouble not for only me but for like half the community.
