Dear Elten users:

Well, finally here it is: the Elten 2.4 for which we have been waiting so long for. Many things have been changed. Several options won't be available any longer if you are not using Elten premium which has been introduced since Elten 2.4. Following is a list from all the things which have been added, changed and been removed from earlier versions of Elten. Of course, not all things will be available when you don't have Elten premium.

Things that have been added:

- Added: ability to change playback pace
- Added: add-on for NVDA providing support for scrolling text and Braille lines

- Added: replies to mentions

- Changed: New menu layout, window dependent options moved to context menu
- Changed: unification of player and media fields
- Changed: new search engine on the forum

- Changed: SAPI support rewritten
- Changed: system tray support integrated with Elten
- Changed: new recording window
- Changed: audio codecs integrated with Elten (Vorbis and Opus)
- Changed: new format translations
- Changed: new localization and settings format
- Changed: unification of the code responsible for requests to the server
- Changed: new API for programs
- Changed: libraries update


Things which have been fixed:

- Fixed: Unicode support in some functions


Things which have been removed:

- Removed: youtube (moved to a separate program)
- Removed: files (moved to a separate program)
- Removed: Playlist (moved to separate program)
- Removed: Avatars
- Removed: chat

Looks like the English site is indeed a work in progress, but at least it's up and you can download the program directly from there.
